Douglass Update August 2015: "You’re so calm! You must have a lot of people praying for you," commented another staff member, Denise, at the summer camp where Donna is working, in reference to Romeena, who watches our girls while Donna works. Denise was talking about all the changes occurring in Romeena’s life as she embarks on the journey to college in the US while her family transitions from Palau to running a missionary school in the Philippines. Romeena’s dad shared with her that yes, several groups of people had been praying for her a great deal recently. God certainly responds to our prayers!

And so it is with us as well – in the midst of many moving parts and big transitions, God has moved in answer to your intercession for us as well. He’s enabled Donna to excel in the ever-changing intricacies of Camp in combination with motherhood. He’s enabled Slick to navigate the many details involved with purchasing and setting up a new house and integrating into a mature church and on-base chapel ministries. As if to confirm His blessing, even before going public, four couples have signed up for a Marriage in the Military small group we will begin in September in our new home.

And so please continue to cover us in prayer as we continue this long transition, looking to finally end up together (praise God!) in NM by the end of August despite another drive across the entire US as well as more airline flights 🙂 Romeena will continue with us, too, until January when she begins her schooling at New Mexico State University. And please let us know how we may share in the blessing of surrounding your life with prayer as well…isn’t it amazing that our God is one who hears and responds!?
